Steve was part of the legendary Cabin 6 that won the “messy cabin” award or the “clean cabin” award five of the six weeks in 1987. He was one of the good ones...he would go the extra mile and knew what it meant to be on camp staff. The next year [1989] just before the start of camp, Kevin Lamm [the camp director] gave out Good Turn tokens to the staff members. Mark Wallace, some of the others, and I dedicated ours to Steve, tossing them into the river.

Some of the opening and closing campfires Steve helped build (and their heights) were recorded on the ceiling of the quartermaster area in the Handicraft Lodge.

Steve Foley is survived by his mother, two brothers, a stepbrother, and his grandmother.
